Last Friday night Journey League held a Pack Night event. Staff, athletes, and family were joined by NC State basketball players DJ Burns, DJ Horne, and Casey Morsell for a fun night that included playing ball, running drills, pictures, and autographs.
This is the second Pack Night event, and was organized by NC State alum and Journey League co-founder Coach Cal Maxwell. "It is incredible to see the way these guys and the Pack of Wolves NIL initiative are giving back to the community," says Maxwell. "These guys truly have a heart for the community and love their time with our Journey Leaguers."
Volunteer Dena McDonald, also an NC State alum, says watching the Journey League athletes interact with the NC State players was amazing. "The athletes look forward to having the Pack players come," she says. "Their faces light up, there's a lot of high fives, hugs, cheering and just all around amazing spirit."
